Peach tree homom?

well i started a peach tree on a bet with a friend that it wouldn%26#039;t grow (i won the bet) and i realized how stupid it was to start it this late in the season but i thought my friend was going to take it afterwords, lol well guess what didn%26#039;t happen, could it live inside at 40 degree temps and lower (old farm house very drafty in my room)? the temps have been droping where i%26#039;m at, i%26#039;ve got it under a lamp, but it%26#039;s just poked through and i%26#039;m worried that since it%26#039;s soo new that it cant take the temps. would a plastic-wrap mini greenhouse work? i been wondering if anyone has tried making one, did it work or was the plastic too thin?any other info from people who have grown peach trees( or other trees) indoors on how to do anything with them would really be great. thanks for any and every bit of help anyone gives me. meg

Temperature shouldn%26#039;t be a problem but don%26#039;t you have a room that%26#039;s warmer? Light might be a problem. Has to be in a bright room if not in direct sunlight.

And yes, you could make a minigreenhouse but you still need the light. If you don%26#039;t have a bright room or sunny window you;ll have to put artificial light on it.
Reply:you are going to have to try to carry it over as it is too young to survive on its own. Long sunlight will keep it growing...you%26#039;ll have to supplement with extra hours of light. Think summer sunlight hours, not winter. Winter sunlight hours may cause it to drop it%26#039;s leaves and try to go dormant....which in the case of a tiny plant...may be permanent dormancy.
Reply:ummmm ok not sure
